Man we grew up absolutely hating possums here.
So it was a weird feeling finding out how cute they actually are. Being around one here at night feels like you’re in a horror movie.
But when I visited Aus and saw all the possums living in the trees in the parks, they’re so cute, like little monkeys.
Kinda sucks that we have to hate them and kill them here.

Probably shouldn’t feed possums, especially not chips. My parents have them under their carport and dad makes jam on toast for them every morning. I keep telling them not to, but they never listen

While this is cute as hell, and I have very happy memories of one house I grew up in that had a local possum who’d visit, can we please not feed them chips?
They’re really not designed for human junk food and there’s much better options to give them a snack than chips.
In other news, please don’t feed ducks bread, and don’t feed magpies mince. Thanks! 👍
