I remember seeing this! It freaked me out a little – rural small town girl that I was back then…. By 1983 I understood him much better! Amazingly talented and charismatic! Also got to see him from a Box at the Rosemont in about 1986. AMAZING Experience – one of best shows I’ve been to – was way more than a concert!

These are awesome
One of my favorite songs. Though more partial to Nirvana’s, Bowie’s is great as well.
I’m always curious to see who the host is introducing them.
It’s cool to see Klaus Nomi wailing away on the mic again.
These all look really good, do you have access to master tapes?
Man Is there a live Bowie performance that isn’t a crazy acid trip? Would’ve been amazing to see him live
Love him, his voice his fashion. This song I have never seen this clip so is so lovely to watch yes nirvana unplugged is a hell of a cover too!
I really do love odd combos of host and performer. President Bartlet, of course, looks great.
I like Klaus nomis cover of lightning strikes.
It’s so cool that Nirvana was willing to let Bowie cover their song.
I love it.
Bowie was a prolific songwriter and performer, one of the greatest of all time.
I distinctly remember watching this live because of the outfits.
Never heard a live TVC15 before! Almost looks like Jimmy Destri from Blondie on keyboards for the Man Who Sold the World
I remember watching this live. Bowie was a mind trip.
I saw this live, I was 10 years old. We watched SNL religiously
Martin sheen 🤔
Klaus Yesmi amirite??
That’s cool, I actually don’t like the studio version because it has a wash board sound annoys me all the way through.
It is such a tragedy that we lost Klaus Nomi so soon. He was otherworldly amazing. Miss Bowie every day.
Sooooo…. I’m 40 and completely embarrassed to admit that I didn’t know that this wasn’t originally a Nirvana song. TIL. Sorry Bowie, I am ashamed.
Best version of this song, period
Bowie saw Klaus preform in NYC and liked it so much he incorporated into this act.
Does the space cold make your nipples go pointy, Bowie?

Co-starring cheekbones and widows peak!
