1982 HMS Hermes returns to Portsmouth after 3+ months at sea during Falklands conflict.
Commissioned in 1959, the vessel served as a flagship in the Falklands War and was later sold to India in 1984, becoming INS Viraat where it served india until 2016. At that time the ship was 57 years in service.

Seeing a ship with that much history return home must have been an incredible atmosphere in Portsmouth.
