Thats the only reason

Which is a very ambitious move because you will need many years of daily practice to come even close to a point to understand enough without needing subtitles.

      >Work in Japan

Hopefully not a office work job . Highly likely you die being overwork.

Of all the things in this, working in Japan is the one that you certainly don’t want to do.

    4. Middle is the weirdest one here btw

Wanting to learn a language to be able to consume its media without aid feels like a pretty respectable endeavor. Wanting to work in Japan is…a choice, but if you’d like to move there then by all means. Wanting to learn japanese for the prospect of wifing up specifically a japanese girl is just borderline fetishization lmao.

The third reason seems like the only legit one tbh. I would never want to work with a traditional Japanese company considering that I plan on maintaining my sanity. Learning Japanese just to marry a Japanese woman straight up sounds creepy.

    6. I remember a meme with “to sing a favourite OP without summoning a demon” one

    7. After watching anime for 6yrs … I can watch without subtitles but I can’t read japanese 🤷

That’s actually the most reasonable choice

Japanese workplace culture is literal dogshit, their salaries are low, and their currency is weak

The middle just comes off weird and fetishistic

Trying to improve your enjoyment of a hobby is the best choice here lol

    9. I want to read manga. I’m too awkward to talk to strangers and I don’t know any Japanese people. I’m about 300 kanji in, so it’s slowly going. I can’t write for shit though lmao

    10. It’s a solid reason. With the way localizers mess with other people’s work it’s hard to trust what you are reading is really the author’s pure intent or if it was tainted by these people.
