So the goal of the Iranian war has gone from preventing an attack on US bases, to preventing Israeli from attacking Iran that would lead to an attack on us bases, to preventing a nuclear weapon, to overthrowing the Iranian regime to now….stopping Iran from invading other middle eastern countries and overthrow their leaders.
Which they weren’t going to do (take pieces of territory, assert influence- sure Iran would have done all of that- but no country is trying to take over entire regions at the moment. They look at how messy it’s been at Russia, and how much better comparatively China has been just asserting influence and mad their choices)
