I own this stunning Japanese vase, I believe it to be mid-Meji, but that is just guess. Ca. 50 cm tall, light and dark underglaze blue, with added overglaze red and gold/orange. Came with a wooden crate custom made for it.
The vase is undamaged and unfortunately unmarked, so I have no idea what I own – I bought it on a whim and think it is a thing of strangely modernist abstract beauty for a 150 year old (?) piece of porcelain.
Are there any experts on Japanese porcelain here, or anyone who can point me in the direction of one? Would love to learn more about it!
