Look. He had a spare guitar pick inserted at the neck. Later in his career, he placed his lit cigarette there.

Like most, I save the fun stuff I like. With varied tastes, my saved folder can have some odd stuff. This one was saved right next to my last saved picture, a baby pic of Wolfgang Van Halen laying against Valerie Bertinelli, while looking at the camera. Nice odds.
That’s Ed’s first electric guitar – a Teisco Del Rey. According to at least a couple interviews he gave, he picked it because of all the guitars he looked at it had the most pickups (four).
And ironically, the most famous of his guitars only had one pickup.
