You can hide anything in water and machine won’t be able to detect it

Nothing makes you feel more like a bomb defusal expert than violently chugging a half full Dasani while maintaining unbroken eye contact with a TSA agent

In europe i can actually go on a plane without taking my shoes off.

These days you can bring an empty bottle and fill it for free in water fountains, so stop bitching about paying a lot for water. If you won’t or can’t bring the bottle, then bring the extra money. I don’t like these prices as well but let’s not pretend like basic economics apply only to airports.Â

In 2006 there was a plan where the people were planning to use liquid chemicals to make explosives and brimg down 7 airplanes. Thats why there is a rule not to carry large liquids

Makes sense since it has 1 hydrogen molecule

I see an entire bottle of vodka someone is trying to sneak on and drink, and then pass out, break a seat, throw up on the carpet and then break the toilet. All of these things generate write ups where someone will probably have to dedicate hours of their lives to fix.
TLDR: it’s my theory the fluid limit is to keep people from getting alcohol poisoning on a plane.

I think that airports would benefit more if they had a deal with some grocery store to be at the airports with like 10% price increase but you can take this things on the plane.

We’re just going to confiscate this because it might be a bomb and place them with all the other things we’ve confiscated that may also be bombs conveniently piled right next to the crowded line of people, you know, for safety.

Would you rather dispose the water or potentially let some explosive through?
Hate to say it but people need to understand that, it’s not the water security is worried about. It’s the fact that it might not be.

It’s a weapon of mass destruction at the checkpoint, but magically turns back into regular water for $8 at the Hudson News 50 feet away
The liquid rule is honestly the dumbest security theatre
It’s not about security, it’s about the $7 Dasani on the other side of the gate.
My water bottle after security: guess I’ll die then
Who knows, an explosive liquid disguised as water could turn the plane into a missile.
Better safe than sorry

It takes too long to verify that everyone has safe liquids, and not one of the many different [liquid explosives](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Liquid_explosives)
