The well known liar ran on a platform of lowering groceries and not starting any new wars. The liar never presented any plan to bring down the cost of groceries, in fact his flagship tariff policy was noted by virtually every economic expert to increase the cost of literally everything. The liar also had a long history of being a belligerent blowhard that constantly ruined America’s relationships with its allies in his first term. So there was literally no reason to believe the liar in either of his two campaign promises.
