They shouldn’t be surprised when one day he just opts out of everything over this moment of humiliation and embarrassment right here

The most crazy part about this clip is that the sound is just a NorthernLion stream going in the background

    4. Oh no. Don’t upset your sky daddy. For he will surely smite you for…checks notes…eating.

Yeah, this absolutely is not it. Seeing a hungry black child being ridiculed by the people he loves doesn’t make me laugh, it just makes me angry.

Beyond me how anyone hears the teachings of Islam, Christianity, anything and thinks “oh yeah, that completely and totally explains the world I live in, I’m going to commit my life to this god and religion until I die”. Even worse when they grow up in it and don’t ever question it.

I just don’t understand how you never ask “Is this right? Am I satisfied with the answer? Do I just believe this because my parents do? Am I being taken advantage of?”

People think filming a child not eating because of their parents questionable choice of forcing a kid to partake in this religion is a great choice all it does is damage the relationship and cause distance

    8. Without context it seems cruel but they’re not actually Muslims and the kid wanted to try fasting for Ramadan (not sure why) and his mom was teasing him that he’s Jamaican and couldn’t handle it.

But if he went to his parents said he wants to do it and is actually following through on that then kudos to him.

I remember supporting my friend by fasting with him during Ramadan. The speed I ate at at 5AM was insane…

    10. This is so typical of most black families I knew growing up. No long terms negative effects. We learned our lesson (and repercussions for future mishaps). All love. That kid gonna be alright and this gives him strength.

Getting instant gratification rewards comes easy and are comfortable.Getting life rewards are hard and uncomfortable,

    11. Laughing in a hungry childs face as he cries because he wants food.

Great way to make sure he doesn’t grow up religious.

wtf is going on with these comments if anybody talked about Christianity like this yall would lose your mfin minds, and I’m saying this as an atheist. They’re not even Muslim the kid just wanted to try out what Ramadan is like and they’re teasing him because he forgot.

    13. So a lot of people under this post do not understand Jamaican dark humour and sarcasm. His mother is laughing at the way he is stressing about missing his breakfast however he is the only one in his family doing the fast as they are not Muslim and he is only doing it to join in and support his friends. His mum is supporting him by waking up early and making breakfast earlier than usual so he can eat

FYI: for everyone saying children should be exempt, they are.
This lad isn’t Muslim, nor is his family. He decided to do Ramadan of his own accord. There’s a first video where they are telling him he won’t make it. This is just a typical Jamaican family interaction. It really hits close to home for me because I did the same thing when I was a kid and my family basically had the same reaction. lol

      Edit:

Link to the first video I mentioned https://www.instagram.com/reel/DVJRpuzAhaX/?igsh=eWduZ2dmNzExbzM5

    15. The reddit atheists living up to their names in the comment section will never not be funny to me.
