Nice photo. My parents would have been around the same age. I had a good number of photos from the 1970s that started shifting to red. If you haven’t already, this is an easy correction in software.

Your mom’s hair cut was so popular in the late 70’s-early 80’s! We called it the blow cut at my hs- hand blow dryers were getting popular.
