Between then (1993 when that was the average Big Mac price) and now, minimum wage has increased by 70.59%, the cost of a Big Mac has increased by 130%, and general cost of living has increased by 120%. The federal minimum wage would need to be roughly $15.64 now for the Big Mac meal cost to equal out to the buying power back then.
