With how far he’s gliding with each stroke, are we certain he’s not swimming in bioluminescent jello?

Once saw that on a beach in Australia, looks so alien.

I’ve been lucky enough to have done this myself and ill be honest it was as magical as it looks. Felt like a Disney princess.

I kayaked once in Puerto Rico and something bigger than the kayak swam directly beneath us outlined in that eerie glow. Surreal and terrifying.

I experienced this on the west coast of Vancouver Island about 3 years ago. One of the most amazing natural things to experience on this planet imo.
It’s almost pixelated and ombre colored(blue in my experience) and it sparkles on your skin briefly as you swim or sway in the water(think the vampires in twilight).
Seek this out people!

I don’t really like swimming in open bodies of water. This at night makes it even worse to me. Still really cool but I’ll never participate.

Wait until dolphins ride your bow wave at night in bioluminescent water… pure magic

I might be mistaken, but this looks like it could be central Florida- probably Banana River. Source: I live here

We have it here in Florida several times a year. It’s pretty cool to see, especially when large fish swim around you while kayaking/paddle boarding. Post above about “lake”: lakes are fresh water and bioluminescence takes place is salt water.

We just call it Lake Erie for short.

One of the coolest bioluminescence memoriesI was dropping an anchor and watching it spiraling down and lighting up the water till it hit the ground about 30ft below. Wish I had taken a video

Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

Seeing how many fish move around while you’re swimming is disturbing.

It’s crazy how people can just swim in dark waters with no care in the world about what may be lurking beneath them, it must be nice. Just like that kid in the Bahamas jumping of the boat at night with no care in the world.
