now, incase this feels incoherent I have a cold so the meme quality has unfortunatly dropped
Carcalla was a roman emperor who passed the edict of Caracalla which gave all people of the empire equal rights, he spent most of his time as emperor fighting agaisnt germanic peoples.
his death was aucastrated by his successor Macrinius who got the disgruntled soldier to kill the emperor, the disgruntaled soldier was then killed by the emperors bodyguard, the emperor would not survive his injuries due to the praetorian guard (as is the norm with roman emperors )

The amount of Emperor’s killed and replaced by their own bodyguards is actually hilarious.Â

He (almost certainly, resoursces are problem) was a bad person even for a Roman Emperor. But he also was quite possibly (again: problem with soursces) rather good emperor. This 2 things aren’t exclusive.

I mean this guy was supposed to marry an Iranian princess to make peace with the Sassanids in one of the best diplomatic moves of their era and he basically chose to kill everyone in a rampage and declare war after this when the time came. He was… well, he was a good leader but a bad politician.
