Monkeys will almost always just break a banana in half; the whole idea that they all know the right way to peel a banana is classic internet misinformation.

    2. In case someone wanted the speech:

      >When you are rejected, you dont lose people, you lose your reflection. So you start searching for yourself in whatever will have you. It doesnt have to be real, it just has to stay. Because the illusion of being wanted is quieter than the echo of being chosen by no one. Rejection doesnt bruise the skin, it bruises the mirror. You begin mistaking attention for love, noise for intimacy, presence for warmth. We were born reaching. Wired to know the difference between arms that hold and air that doesnt. We were never confused about love, we were starved of it. And when what we need is withheld, we accept substitutes – not because we are weak but because being wanted by something, even something empty, hurst less than being wanted by nothing at all.

Punch is doing better btw. He doesn’t carry a doll anymore, the other monkeys weren’t picking on him anymore, and he had a buddy that was hanging out with him. I saw him yesterday.
