My cat tried this once’s, I was emptying them out after getting groceries and he thought he’d be cute and step through the hand hold. When it snagged on his foot he went to kick it off, naturally the bag made a racket when he did, which in turn freaked him out. He then proceeded to jump off the counter with the bag in tow, this resulted in him being even more confused/terrified. Before I could get to him he had freaked his self out so bad he bolted, the faster he ran the louder the bag was which made him run even faster. Poor guy was stuck in the worst feed back loops ever and he was completely unable to out run his attacker. By the time I got ahold of him he had knocked over every lamp in the living room, cleared all the stuff off the coffee table, knocked I don’t know how many groceries off the kitchen island, and was well on his way to trashing the curtains. After I removed the bag from his back paw I couldn’t breathe because of how hard I was laughing, he seemed embarrassed because after I removed the bag he promptly acted like everything was fine but refused to make eye contact with me 😂
