Important to note that Kansas didn’t set an early expiration date for the licenses. That would have at least given those people time to renew according to the new rules. Instant invalidation ruined lives (taking away their ability to drive to work or markets, have a valid Id for healthcare, etc etc).

Kansas has an estimated population of 2,977,220, and they spent time and money demonizing 0.00034% of that population, punishing them, for no reason other than to drum up a manufactured panic to distract half of the population from the fact that the other half supports a pedophilic rapist with dementia.
