I wish I could have experienced flying on the Concorde. It must have been incredible!

I find it odd that if you want to travel across the Atlantic in 3 hours, you’d actually have to go back in time, not necessarily forwards.
I usually half-jokingly proclaim that the future has already happened. I think about all the cool unique tech we once had but no longer exists because things tends to homogenise into something more efficient: subsonic twin-engine aircraft, smartphones, etc. Carcinisation but for technology. Just look at Mustard’s YouTube channel to see all the cool vehicles that once existed.

I’d sometimes see the concord flying overhead when I was out fishing out of Freeport LI back in the day. It was pretty loud and considerably faster than a normal jet even after it just took off

What irritates me is it was Air France that had the problem with Concorde don’t know why British Airways couldn’t continue the service.

The sheer amount of 20th century optimism in one single frame is staggering. Two icons we never thought we’d lose
