***Century eggs****, also known as alkalized or preserved eggs, are a Chinese dish made by preserving duck, chicken, or quail eggs in a mixture of clay, ash, salt, quicklime, and rice hulls for several weeks to several months, depending on the processing method* – Wikipedia

If anyone wondering what a Century egg is. I did the search for you.

    2. Preserved duck eggs.

You use it as a flavouring component in dishes like congee. I probably wouldn’t eat it straight.

I love century eggs. I eat them with Congee all the time. I’ve never really noticed any kind of sulphuric smell to them…probably because I’ve always eaten them with the congee.

    4. Been traveling to China for 20 years for business, tried everything that was put in front of me over the years except for this. Finally tried it on a trip a few months ago and it wasn’t bad, wasn’t good, was just kind of a gel.

    5. If a monkey won’t eat it, we probably shouldn’t be eating it either.

The only thing my wife couldn’t finish while we were in China was the Century Egg. She made the exact same expressions and sounds as this poor creature right here.

I like century eggs, but maybe don’t give it to a pregnant monkey. Pregnancy makes for extreme sensitivity to food.

I deal with depression, and I genuinely don’t think I’ve laughed that hard in weeks. Homie was not having it.

    8. Would it have killed them to offer an Altoids or a Werther’s or at least something monkey-appropriate to make up for the rotten egg?
