I’d bet most of the weights are fake. Flat back, basically zero struggle, rack didn’t shake when he put the bar back.

It’s AI generated just like all the other bullshit videos that come out of this administration.

    2. They’re such a pathetic bunch aren’t they?

Like evil toddlers with their “my daddy can beat up your daddy” energy.

“Well my daddy is an emotionally stable grownup who doesn’t beat people, but I’m sorry for you that you have to deal with that”

Those are 25 lb powerlifting plates. Powerlifting plates are all the same diameter and made of soft materials since they tend to be dropped on the ground during use. 45lb powerlifting plates are quite thicker than these.

    4. Someone examined the plates more closely in a video. Each plate is 10 kg. That would make the total weight 177 lbs, which is an extremely unimpressive one rep max for someone his size.

Those are not 45lb plates. The metal plates are 45lb. The plates on kegsbreath’s bar are the rubber 15lb one’s. Assuming the standard 45lb bar, kegsbreath is lifting 135lbs.

135lbs is the average max bench of a high school freshman in a sports program.

I mean…based km what happens with any wannabe influencer the weights being fake would be the least surprising part of it.

Fake bullshit but also if he had his elbows flared our that much for 315 he’d explode his shoulder joints.

Just going to toss this out there that I don’t care if a drunk Nazi Christian supremacist who commits sexual assault can lift five pounds or five hundred. I don’t want him to have any position in our government, regardless.

    9. We’re now at the taxpayer funded literal strong man propaganda phase of tyranny. Stay tuned. They’ll be riding giant eagles with nuclear bombs in videos on government websites by the end of the year.

I remember saying before he was confirmed that Kegseth looked like the kind of officer who would spend his whole deployment doing arm curls in the gym tent while his unit is getting creamed on patrols.

His grip is also too narrow. Your hands would be outside your elbows for such a heavy lift. This is more like a close grip bench press which targets your triceps.

Also if you can’t do a legit pull-up, you can’t bench 3 plates.

    12. I don’t understand MAGA, are we meant to judge politicians on their physical performances now?

Sure kids might be dying by their thousands to measles, but RFK has great abs for his age.

The military might be doing war crimes in the Caribbean, and pushing to start a forever war in Iran for no reason, but have you seen how much Hegseth can bench?

Unfortunately by their own logic, Trump is a useless waste of concealer, because he struggles to even carry a train of thought

    13. Why is bench pressing weights a requirement for the Secretary of Defense? I would prefer him to read a military history book rather than this performative masculinity.

I’m sure it is fake, but here’s the thing. Even if it WAS real, I don’t need or want a Cabinet Secretary-level government official to be able to pick up a bunch of weight. I want them to be educated and experienced and make wise decisions. In the checklist of the qualities we need in a Secretary of Defense, “can bench 300+ pounds” is probably dead last.
