If you kill a cockroach, you are a hero. If you kill a butterfly, you are evil.

Kill coach roaches and butterflies equally

Life is about proper balance / yin yang ;).

    2. Cocroaches are invasive and ruin your house.
Butterflies are endangered pollinators that we need.

What’s interesting as fuck is that Nietzsche never said this but it still gets misattributed to him by people on social media

    4. Wrongfully attributing a famous smart guy to some anonymous internet quote to give it gravitas about morality is morally bankrupt in itself.

    5. Every species on this planet is food for another species. Humans as well, but we mostly live in the delusion that we are not a part of the food chain anymore.

Killing a cockroach is good because it spreads disease. Butterfly doesn’t. Don’t believe every brainless stuff you see on the Internet. Start thinking your own thoughts please

    7. Deep but simple, people praise hurting ‘ugly’ things but condemn hurting ‘beautiful’ ones, showing how our morals are often biased by appearance.

What if that butterfly lays eggs inside of your cannabis flowers which hatch into caterpillars that eat all your buds?

    9. Butterflies aren’t really a pest that will invade your house and eat your food though. In essence it’s not really a good comparison for the valid point that is being made.

I know a guy who gets bounties for finding the remains of lost hikers in the mountains of Taiwan.. (beast runners on youtube, worth a look) Quite often he will find the bodies because  of the butterflies… not the same as finding them covered in cockroaches I guess.

When butterflies start to spread diseases we will kill them too. There I owned Nietzsche.

    12. Butterflies don’t invade my home in an army, eat my food from my pantry, or crawl around on my things in my house.

    13. Only cockroach literally lives off of fecal matter and carries immense bacteria and parasites, compared to the other who help in pollination we wouldn’t be so screwed if bees and butterflies stop doing them.

You can’t be that dense in thinking somehow your right, this is what republicans/bjp right wing people thunk, somehow they’re right and the opposite is wrong, when the objective truth is the opposite. Regardless of the left thinks opposite or not.

    14. Arey if a cockroach is infesting a place then that means its bringing some infection and dirt along with it… thats why it needs to be killed for greater good

When a butterfly is roaming around in a place…that signifies cleanliness and liveliness…

Because of the prejudiced killing, the cockroaches leveled up and are gonna be the last ones laughing when we kill ourselves with nuclear war

    16. If butterflies spread disease and ruined food, I’d have no problem killing them either. Aesthetics is a minor consideration if at all.

There is a grain of truth to this quote, but as a society, we’ve taken moral relativism way further than we should’ve.

    18. “If you kill a cockroach, it is your moral imperative to also kill a butterfly.”

    19. Cause a butterfly won’t live in leaky pipes and unused bathrooms or some other corners. If they do I’d kill them too. I’m shit scared of both tbh, idk i have a fear for insects.

    20. To be fair, if butterflies were invading my kitchen cabinets in masses, crawling all over my food stocks, I would also take measures. Its not *only* the ascetics.

In fact, this reminds me of spiders. I have 3 modes towards spiders:

      – outside: useful creatures, look at those beautiful webs. Look at how the huntsman is obviously suited to his terrain.

      – inside: Oh no you don’t.

      – on my person: Arrrghhh, unintelligent flailing.

Nietzsche never said this. And cockroaches spread diseases and are a symbol of waste, Whilst butterflies are a symbol of growth peace and fertility.

Aesthetics does affect perception but this video is just trying hard to sound profound.

    22. The fuck is that kind of reasoning bruh.

We kill cockroaches because they transmit diseases and like our food too much.

I’ve yet to see a person I’ll because they let a butterfly inside their house.

I have seen a very similar statement in inglorious bastards. To rectify the mass killing of Jews. So not sure what this post is supposed to say.

    24. This is what vegans go through when they see meat eaters getting angry at animal cruelty videos who then don’t give a shit when its about animals they pay to have killed.

Who cares where the quote came from? If it makes sense it makes sense. Person worship is a cancer.

    26. Magicaparanoia on

Or maybe we see cockroaches as disgusting because they actually are disease carrying pests that can make people seriously ill. Sometimes things that look gross actually are gross.

Butterflies don’t invade my home and crawl on my furniture, damage my electronics and contaminate my food.
