I’m amazed at how few obese people are in the picture compared to what it would look like today! People seem much healthier.

Those metal bars across the seats are an interesting design choice.

I would have given my right arm to be there if only for Led Zeppelin.

Imagine being so committed to Live Aid you’re sunbathing on concrete like it’s a five star resort. That crowd is basically the original “I was there” flex.

Any pic of someone laying like that at a public event reminds me of one of my favorite Pistons memories. I hope no one throws a cup at her. Actually I do hope someone does. Any scantily clad babe running into a crowd throwing haymakers at other concert goers is definitely on my bucket list.

Saw one of the last JFK Shows, Pink Floyd 1989, I think the Dead were last soon after that show.

I was there. Hot as hell. I’ll always remember Jack Nicholson coming out to tell the crowd that the Philadelphia Fire Department was coming to spray down the crowd with fire hoses.
Then, he said (in his classic Jack Nicholson drawl) “So, if you have anything that might dissolve in water, you may want to put it away now”, as he lowered his sunglasses and raised his eyebrows.

not a phone in sight….and yet somehow: everyone got there, joined their friends, knew what time it was, navigated meeting up, scored their weed, made all kinds of memories, and created no concerns to others by being “unreachable” for x period of time.
Man that shit was nice!!
