After the government cracked down hard on them + the student org splitting into different factions, we haven’t seen any notable student-led protests/riots in Japan.
Not remotely close to the craziness of the 50s and 60s, but the most recent and somewhat notable action against the ruling party was orchestrated by SEALDs in 2015/2016.
They ended up dissolving soon after.
