What the hell is “tonic” wine? It doesn’t sound like it would taste good. Would it just be wine mixed with tonic water, the only tonic water I know of has quinine and tastes like death?

To spoil the circle jerk, the main market for this was to elderly people as a tonic / iron supplements. My grandparents bought it. This ad is likely an attempt to widen its appeal but a tonic wine was most certainly a geriatric product
