Toy Story 3 was the perfect ending. It really should have been left as a trilogy

4 didn’t have a good ending, but that didn’t stop them.

This might be a hot take, but I dislike Toy Story 3. I appreciate it as a movie and I like it a lot better now, and I really think it’s better than 4, but that movie scared young me when I saw it in theaters. Our class watched it once and I asked to just journal instead. idk how I knew about the Berlin Wall at that age but it unsettled me like the first two didn’t.
There’s still funny moments and a touching end, so I don’t hate it. Just… a mild distaste for it.

They also left Woody disabled ffs

I wish they did Toy Story movies in the TS Universe, but not necessarily following the same group of toys. Because “Are craft toys living like made toys,” and “Digital Tablets replacing toys for kids” are genuinely interesting topics for this universe.

I don’t even like Toy Story, never did. But I agree, it objectively had its best end at three. Four was okay for an *ending*, not sure about the movie as a whole. But they’re just..I don’t wanna see this happen to the franchise.

Bold of you to assume they wouldn’t keep milking it even after it was bad.

“So you’re saying you’re not gonna see Toy Story 5 in Theaters?”
I never said that.

Toy Story 3 already gave us the perfect ending. Everything after feels like emotional DLC.

At this point it’s not even milking the franchise, it’s industrial farming.

Should have stopped after 2

I mean all the movies are still good, it felt good as a trilogy, I agree, but 4 is still a good time and progressed Woody’s character well, and 5 still looks quite good so far giving Jesse a lot of time in the spotlight since toy story 2.

Then just dont watch it? “If I dont want it then NOONE SHOULD HAVE IT” is a shit attitude to have.
