Given the scale of the universe and the observed statistical likelihood that earth like planet exist, if it happened here and survived multiple extinction events, given the same timeframe or earlier development, its almsot impossible that alien life doesn’t exist elsewhere. I think it almost certainly exists, but it’s completely unreachable to us, likely at least, or if it makes it hrere we are all gone, or we’ve evolved into something else.

I believe there’s no way there isn’t life out there. Statistically impossible for there to not be life.
I also believe that going faster than light is impossible, so that’s gonna be a never ever ever on contact. Even if they are receiving our radio or TV broadcasts, that would be a 200-300 year trip for them to come and say hi. And that assumes they’d even think we’re interesting enough to check out.

Statistically speaking, The probability that aliens **don’t** exist is nearly zero. Without having interacted with them directly myself, it’s still practically a mathematical certainty based on the size of the universe and the diversity of circumstances that life could exist within.
That being said, it’s very possible that we intercepted some sort of signal that would indicate life at an equal or higher function than Earth’s capabilities. However, such signals would be so ancient, there’s no guarantee the life that created them would still exist. Additionally, any life that may have created that signal would very likely be incapable of conversational communication., leaving us only for a receiving interpretation of their signals. This type of communication would very likely be held at the highest level of clearance and not broadcast to the human beings on this planet based simply on the fact that it would be unnecessary and disruptive to our societal norms.
