Bingo. Nothing comes out of the blue. If it wasn’t already in the soil then it wouldn’t be flowering right now.

    2. We’ve definitely had better moments.

Deciding that this state of affairs is inevitable is a really defeatist position

    3. Was having an argument with someone at work. They said America was built by white Americans in the 1700s. I said yeah was that before or after Columbus pilfered and graped all the villages he could? Was it before or after the Chinese immigrants built the railroads and slave labor did everything from textiles industries to infrastructure industries? Didn’t have an answer. I said it’s okay man. We are lazy, you just don’t know it yet.

    4. As the Latino in the room. It’s embarrassing how little thought my peers put into Trumps policies. They’re literally like tariffs are good-

I worked a little bit on immigration tangentially. So I already know how complicated it was for people here on temporary stay. 100% called ICE would be pulling people over based on skin color Drivers License or not.

The amount of White people asking for fascism is also not surprising.

People from around the World have always known this, I live in the Middle East all wars, Regime Change operations, proxy wars in the last 50 years have been started by America

    6. America has always been racist/sexist and has always catered to corporate greed over the good of the people. This is true. But let’s not pretend like what’s happening in this current administration is in anyway “the way it’s always been”

There’s always been tons of racism and other bigotries baked into the country’s fabric. But it’s dumb to say this administration is anything approaching normal in this country. This administration, it’s policies, the sheer amount of open corruption is extraordinarily abnormal and different than past ones.

    8. Fun fact: you can blame the DuPont family for almost everything that’s happened in this country since right before Jefferson was president

You know, I think it’s time to leave such reductive “bars” and “hot takes” in the past. They keep “us” stupid. It’s impossible to distill the complexity of this 250 year old (baby) country in such a simple/reductive way. So no I am not a fool for not thinking it’s “always” been “this”. It’s been many things, and often differing things for black folk, than for others.

TLDR this is stupid with two o’s. And is typical for twitter activists and niggas with “marxist” in their handles and a pfp like that

    10. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it a thousand times. America is a war country and will always be at war because our economy only works that way. 1776, Spanish American, civil, Korea, Vietnam, Iran, Syria, Iraq, many more I don’t even know about. I can’t think of a single time in American history we weren’t either actively at war or making money off of someone else’s war. The American economy is built off of debt and security, just like a mafia. I truly believe if America wasn’t at war, It’d collapse under its own economic stress.

    12. “This is not the America I know!” 🤔 well, this is exactly the America I know but now the veil has just been lifted.
