Pretty sure the US is one of the few highly developed democracies that *doesn’t* have a universal right to mail-in / postal vote for all its citizens.
I was surprised by this when my American partner said he didn’t have the option to receive a mail-in ballot without a good reason in his State.

A riding in Canada just got overturned from our last election because a person’s mail in ballot was returned to them because the return address was printed incorrectly. The party that won the riding, won by one vote. So mail in voting is critically important.

If you live in one of the blue or green states you’re eligible to vote by mail. Florida could easily flip their Senators and Governor, if all Democrats did so.
Notice Russia, Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, and the rest aren’t on the list.
