When I was a kid, I had a dream where I was walking to class but the theme song to the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon was playing on the loud speakers in the hall. I remember hearing it vividly and all the kids around me seemed to ignore it— very weird.
When I woke up, I was on the couch in the living room and my brother was watching Sonic on the TV.
Only reason I bring this up is because is stuff like this happens, and I believe OP’s mom probably heard what he was saying.

My mom died of brain cancer i was across the country talking to her over the phone as she passed and this just fucking hurt to read. I wasn’t always a good son either and the guilt we gotta carry aswell as the grief is a fucking crushing force.
