    1. That button works on a few gas stations in my area. I only buy gas where there is no audio advertising.

    2. They have a mute button??? Well some I guess. I literally just walk away and tune it out until my pump stops

    3. Luckily these pumps have caught on in my area of Texas. But In reality I only go to gas stations that sell “Top Tier” Fuel.

    4. I leave three star reviews at gas stations with audible ads that I can mute. I leave 1 star if I can’t mute the ads.

For fucks sake I’m there as customer buying a product. I can go elsewhere if you annoy me.

    5. Some of the gas stations in my area have done this on their own. I assume the franchisees hate it too.

    6. Same button works on most gas stations. If there is no mute button, press every button as fast as you can and it will cause the screen to reset and the ads stop. Gas still pumps and you still pay, so nothing immoral here.

    7. If you are in Denver, it might have been me! I carry a micron in my purse and do this whenever possible.

They are just going to big touch screens now that don’t seem to have a (non-destructive) mute function.

    9. I have a sharpie in my car for this purpose (:

it’s almost always that button (2nd down on the right)

    10. I can not believe there’s a corner of the world where they put video advertisements on fuel pumps.

    11. Someone did this at my local gas station and now I do it legit every time I go to a gas station. Not all heroes wear capes.
