Also the games only started 5 days ago; there are plenty of medals still up for grabs.

I actually don’t understand the weird obsession with participation trophies. I played a bunch of sports as a kid, and have had everything from first place to participation trophies/medals. I never thought that I “won” a participation trophy, but I took home a cool little keepsake to remember that season/tournament by.
