      Yikes that is not a well cared for bird based on the beak alone but I guess they probably didnt know better in 1914

    3. Hmmm. Lived a hard life yet lived to close to twice the age that cockatoos have been known to live in pampered captivity.

      Or maybe Cocky Bennett was a bit like The Dread Pirate Roberts.

      Or maybe this is a tall tale.
