1st pic looks like its in the basement. My grandmas house had a 2nd kitchen downstairs that you used in the summers since they didnt have a/c. Always went over july 4th. The men would all be outside drinking, grilling meats. And all the women would be downstairs making side dishes, desserts, smoking cigarettes and drinking white wine
