      Archaeologists and historians have been unironically grappling with this pretty heavily for years. Take a look into archaeological ethics if you’re interested. I can’t say that there’s a single correct answer but this question is widely discussed and debated by a lot of people, not least academics

    5. Grave robbers steal stuff and sell them to some rich guy so he can display it in his living room. Archaeologists catalog and study the stuff they steal and sell them to museums so everyone can see that stuff they stole
