Look I get it, even as an American I have zero interest in the Superbowl or sports in general honestly. But there are a surprising amount of people outside the US that watch it every year whether they understand the game or not. Just to have some late weekend entertainment even if it’s only for the halftime show. Its a world spectacle in a sense just like any other sports championship event in another nation.

It’s like rugby, but with extensive breaks. Most of the time it’s like a boardgame made of meatheads.

Everyone pretends to not know it. But the reverse is funny too, because Americans honestly have no idea about the rest of the world’s sports.

I can’t believe that Americans are talking about American things on their American website that I visit as a foreigner who is not American so I will constantly talk about how upset I am about American subjects and politics on an American forum created in America and based in America with a majority American userbase.
People wouldn’t do this in any other country.

You guys obviously have never had a Super Bowl, it’s where u grab all the American “culture food” like hotdogs, burgers, meatloaf (extra dry no salt), and even corn bread and ya mush it into said bowl then you race “real Americans” to the bottom. First finished is the winner of said Super Bowl.

Man why not. I am happy when it’s Superbowl time, we get to see a nice halftime show. You don’t have to watch the playing part, I don’t even know what teams were playing, but I enjoyed bad bunny and green day

A lot of Americans feel this way too. It’s gotta be one of the most over-hyped events ever.
