      And then Alexander the Great’s Empire fell apart after he died.

      And most of Alexander’s Empire being so big was because he beat the big but apparently weak Achaemenids. (The satraps sided with Alexander after he kept clowning on Darius and beating the latter in battles).

    2. What really happend:

      Romans: project with lot of work, painstakingly done through whole year

      Greece: copy work of Pers; time to play CS

    3. Except the Romans could actually maintain a stable empire for a long time. Alexander’s fell apart as soon as he died.

    4. Except Alexander’s empire fell apart the moment he died, while the state of Rome lasted around a thousand years.
