    1. 1.) Bill Maher is a ‘comedian’, not the president.

2.) Many on the left don’t even like or support Bill Maher.

    2. Let’s see. One continues a bad stereotype from decades and even centuries ago

The other compares an over-tanned white guy, which was his decision, to an ape

White people haven’t historically been compared to primates as a means of dehumanizing them based on their race. I can’t imagine why people aren’t equivocating these things

It’s not even remotely the same thing. An apples to bridges comparison. Try again. Or don’t.

    5. I’m also not happy with the bottom image. Orangutans are amazing creatures that don’t deserve this slander.

    6. First, Maher isn’t the President. Second, he didn’t say Trump is an orangutan he only asked Trump to provide his long form birth certificate to prove that he wasn’t the son of an orangutan.

Maher was sued by Trump for it.

    7. One is the President of the United States of America; the other is a TV comedian. Do the math, Asshole.

    8. “very interesting” or just straight out fascist, nazi propaganda floating free but saying “trans” is super scary.

X, the company, the vast majority of users and especially its owner are so super pathetic.

    9. Fwiw. I’m mid-left.

      1. Bill Maher is a blowhard and an insufferable jackass
      2. Donald Trump is a blowhard and an insufferable jackass (keeping the list extremely abbreviated here) but it’s shameful how the office of the president has lost all integrity.

Regardless of who’s in power, there’s a higher standard that should still be the bare minimum. This isn’t it.

    10. One instance of name calling a certain race goes back a few hundred years and is considered extremely racist and the other one is directed at an individual

    11. To the best of my knowledge calling white people orangutans or chimps or whatever is not a common racist moniker.

“Well I’m white and I’m not offended if someone says I like fried chicken and watermelon.”

      – Guy who is *this close* to getting how racism works, but will never bridge that last 5% gap of full cognition.
