I think this is a twofold phenomenon. She was abused as a child. I feel like a lot of predators sense people who have been victimized and they attach to them as a way to prove they’re not REALLY doing anything that’s that bad. I mean if they were really monsters then this person who’s a REAL victim (not like all those people who are just making up lies about them) wouldn’t even be able to stand being around them! Also the other part is that if you weren’t protected and your victimization was ignored when you needed help the most part of the way you’re going to rationalize it is to deny it to anyone else. So these guys can’t really be doing anything that these women don’t want or else they would just leave. Cause I COULDN’T leave and they could so they didn’t so they must like it. It’s just a really shitty combo.
