Like it model years before and after, the 71 did not have the rubber bumper that was added in 1973 and 1974 to try to meet US safety regs. The driving lights behind the grill in the second photo were the exact same as the headlights from the same year Capri and were usually added but owners years later from wrecked cars found at auto recyclers.
