This isn’t the first questionable design choice.

Last year, they designed AND BUILT a bridge with a sudden 90 degree turn.

    2. Surely that won’t create a huge traffic jam right where two or more highway lanes suddenly dump into a busy city street

Luckily city drivers on the sub-continent are famously patient and in no way dangerous drivers at all.

my dark conspiracy theory is the indian government purposely lets unsafe standards pass because its a form of population control. The fact the air is so polluted in India that the government doesnt do anything about it is the reason why I have this theory.

    5. I feel like this could be justified if some how there were plans for a future expansion of the flyover such that the two outside lanes would lead to single land bridges to connect to something.

Is that the case? I doubt it.
