They look very happy. That happiness changed to terror during the Khmer Rouge Murderous regime from 75-79. It was one of the most brutal and heinous genocides in history during which 2-3 million people were killed. I remember the discussion about satellite photos showing train loads of military supplies being moved. Our military experts couldn’t figure it out at the time. Come to find out it was trainloads of bodies stacked like cordwood being moved to mass grave sites.
