Not defending here but OP is conflating Authoritarianism and Communism. Which are two different things. Just that so far our 2 big examples of Communism have been Authoritarianism… so… I get it but…
Authoritarianism is what allows leaders to operate without consequences as long as they stay loyal to the Authoritarian… because there is no justice any longer.
