They live up there and were going to be in the area the nurse was killed (I sadly can’t remember his name) until she had a horrible nightmare the night before. Knowing the type of people they are they would have been hurt for trying to help people. She is terrified right now

On a side note, but related, I changed my vehicle settings so that my doors only unlock when I take the keys out of the ignition.
I hated when it was set to unlock when the car was put in park. ATMs, pharmacy drive thrus, etc. I don’t want to be in a position when some stranger can get into my car.
