The Bureau Of Labor has this stat and not the Bureau Of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives?

I’d love to know the differences in expenditures on weed.
My bet is, it’s inversely proportional.

they’re poor, what are they supposed to do?

This is what we call a false correlation. Check back in a decade or so.

So, you’re saying they only but the cheap stuff.

Why aren’t gen Zs drinking?
That’s because a cocktail costs twice as much as minimum wage, Linda

Some of Gen Z is still around 14 years old so this checks out lol

In my experience as gen Z its a lot lot more common for people to just not drink at a party and everyone understands. Also personally I only drink socially never by myself and I think that sentiment is shared by a lot of us.

Don’t they probably have at least 87% less money too?

I’m a millennial who consumes alcohol-free beverages instead. I reached drinking age at 18 and did partake for a bit but mostly stopped after getting a car. Over a decade later and I still don’t feel particularly compelled.

They used to make the same dramatic headlines about millennials.
Half of Gen Z are too young to drink. The other half are too young to have money.
I spend more on alcohol now than when I was 21, but drink way less. Because when I was 21 we were splitting a plasty 12 ways and now I buy craft beer.

Legal weed means I’m down to just one of each rather than a shit load of just booze most nights.
I love the combo.

They peobably smoke weed instead.

Us Millennials and GenXers never had to worry about our youthful drunken escapades getting filmed, uploaded, and immortalised on the internet by literally anyone within 50 yards.
We had the freedom to be stupid (within reason) and make mistakes without it being instantly published internationally.
Social media is bit like an ever-present sword of damocles hanging over GenZ promising ruin for any infraction. Makes alcohol and public inibreation seem a lot less appealing.

This seems misleading/not adjusted for the fact that not all gen z are of legal drinking age.. No way 21+ Gen Zs are drinking THAT much less alcohol

Millenials are drunk sluts.
The youngest Gen Zs are still 13 years old.
