I’m 18 and just registered to vote today. My parents are in the teachers union and I’ve always been in love with the idea of voting and elections and learning about how the government works. I’m also grateful for the 19th amendment which is why I can vote. I may seem too optimistic, but I can’t wait until midterms, so I and my brother and my friends and everyone else my age can vote for the first time!

Don’t wait until the midterms. Vote in the primaries so that the right candidates make it to the midterms. Every single seat in the house is up for re-election this year and one third of the senate. Research your local candidates, donate to their cause, engage with your friends and family about voting. Do the work
