The fucked up part is he could totally be meaning that for Sudan but the fine is for sure Palestine related.

    2. Surely they just didn’t think he was being specific enough.. which genocide we talking about?

Make statements more general. Make it something like “genocides are bad”. Are they going to come out and disagree with it?

    4. Remember when William Gay was fined for trying to highlight Domestic Violence Awareness Month? The NFL is only “non-political” when it goes against their pre-approved (and prepaid) messaging.

No employer affords you the 1st Amendment. But even if they did, aren’t there more pressing issues Stateside to highlight?

    6. Fining him just pushed his message WAY more than if they had not fined him. Mission accomplished!!!

    7. Not trying to play devils advocate’s but they did fined Bosa for wearing a MAGA hat

I quit watching the NFL this year after the Charlie Kirk moment of silence they had. Fuck em.

This shit could be about any ongoing genocide (there are a handful). The nfl is insane. Mfs need a better players union. How does a peaceful message warrant a fine?

Got to have a pine somewhere, bc those messages can go another way if we aren’t careful. The Bosa boys, for example.

    11. If Black NFL players really wanted to make powerful social justice statements, they could all agree to just not show up en masse, even if for just one game day. What would the NFL do without Black male bodies on the field? And if the Black superstar players were about business, they’d help the lower paid less famous players who would be more financially strained for that missed day.

But based on how they did Kaepernick, we know peak capitalistic individualism trumps any en masse Black athlete activism so that’ll never happen.

Don’t look at it as a fine. He paid $11k to send a message on an internally broadcast event. He knew he was going to get to fined. He thought the price was acceptable. I commend that.

Real quick how many black QB’s/head coaches are heading to Championship weekend? LOL

America is a fallacy. Everyone is in it for themselves. Ain’t no other black players gonna support him.

    15. The NFL is a soulless business and a propaganda arm of the US government and military how is this surprising lol

To be fair him getting fined is the biggest reason why we are seeing his message. He paid ~$11k to make sure his message was heard.

    17. The fine is because you’re not allowed to have political slogans, not because of the content
