We had Walnut Grove Youth Correctional Facility back home in Mississippi. Shut it down a few years ago because it got so out of control. 14 year old inmates getting guards pregnant, gang violence off the charts. It was wall known that the young men there didn’t like traditional shanks which are 4-6” inches long. They would take fan blades and cut metal beams to make swords. It was not a prison where you could “be smart, and stay out of trouble.”
