This photo is the brother of photographer Jacques Henri Lartigue, its titled “Zissou in his tire boat”, Chateau du Rouzat, 1911. I was at the Wes Anderson Archives in London yesterday and learnt how much this photographer influenced Anderson’s films.

Zissou was quite a character, inventing all sorts of machines and getting himself into scrapes. Anderson included photos of both Zissou and Lartigue in his films, and of course used his name for Bill Murray's character in The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.

You can see from this gallery how much of an influence Jacques Henri Lartigue continues to be for Wes Anderson.
