      Rommel thought it would be a good idea to tank rush allied lines armed to the teeth with anti tank guns and artillery over flat desert terrain, resulting in him losing a fuck ton of tanks (and the irreplaceable experienced officers + NCOs who were crewing them) and losing the battle which became known as Operation Crusader.

      Have to say your memes about Rommel. I used to be quite a fanboy myself but considering ww2 was more than 80 years ago. It’s time to put Rommmel’s overhyped reputation to rest.

      That’s not to say he was a “bad” commander, he did a better job than I would have done for sure. But he made plenty of stupid mistakes. Especially considering the hate people like Montgomery get, who beat rommel at every oppertunity and made far fewer mistakes in general.

      And of course the big elephant in the room, that he dedicated his entire life to further the goals to furthering the goals of the nazi ideology. And did so very much willingly.
