I think it can get a whole lot worse than that. I think he’s been manipulated by his Russian handlers to start this conflict in the first place. He either single-handedly causes NATO to fall apart by taking unnecessary aggression or at the very least draws attention from Eastern Europe to Western Europe, including military attention, weakening the Eastern front and providing Russia more maneuverability.
If Russia attacks another European state, the U.S. will not come to its aid with Trump in charge. He’ll play the xenophobe worried about his own interests.
